Lotsa moving back to Sundays!

As long-time listeners know, Lotsa A Cappella was on Sunday mornings on KDHX for many years. The show will be moving back to Sundays starting on March 14th. The new time will be 7 AM to 8 AM. The last Saturday show will be on March 13th from 5 AM to 7 AM.

I hope that you will all listen on 88.1 KDHX or on the web at KDHX.org. You can also check the website to find out other changes to the KDHX schedule starting on March 14, 2010.

Missouri Shape Note Singing

The Saint Louis Shape Note Singers will hold their annual Missouri Singing Convention, Saturday, March 13 and Sunday March 14, 2010, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM both days, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Pinckney, Missouri (near Marthasville). Dinner on the grounds at noon. Visitors are welcome to listen or to sing along. Singing from the Missouri Harmony and The Sacred Harp songbooks which will be available for loan at the site. No admission charge; a free will offering will be taken to defray expenses. For more information visit the website stlfasola.com.

KDHX's Larry Weir

Larry Weir, longtime programmer/host of Songwriters Showcase on KDHX, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 13, 2010. For more information or to express your condolences to his wife Kathy, see CaringBridge.org.

Larry will be missed by all whose lives he touched, whether as a personal friend, or as a friendly voice on KDHX. We will remember the music he played and the kindness he showed.
